Personal Background: Louis joined the firm in 2022. Prior to that, he served in the Navy for 20 years and retired as a Commander in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps.
Louis completed his studies at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in political science in 2002. After serving as the Damage Control Assistant aboard USS Vicksburg, and a deployment to the Persian Gulf, he began his legal studies at The University of Washington School of Law in Seattle, Washington, earning his Juris Doctor degree in 2008.
Louis then completed various JAG assignments across the globe (prosecuting cases in Yokosuka, Japan - Command Judge Advocate onboard the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis deployed to the South China Sea - Senior Legal Advisor to a 3-Star NATO staff in Lisbon, Portugal, just to name a few).
After bouncing around the world for more than 20 years and 9 different duty stations, Louis decided there truly is “no place like home” so he moved back to Malheur County with his wife, Rachel, and their three children.
