Personal Background:
Dustin was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. At a very young age Dustin decided he was going to be a lawyer. This lifelong goal of Dustin’s remained with him through high school, a two-year LDS mission, and four years of undergraduate education. Dustin earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Business. During undergrad Dustin met his wife Whitney, an Oregon girl, and they we married in Boise, Idaho.

The two moved to Moscow, Idaho where together they earned Dustin a Juris Doctor degree. During the first law school summer the two moved to Oregon so Dustin could work for Butler & Looney. After their second year Dustin worked for White Peterson as an intern to gain experience in a bigger firm environment. By the third and final year of law school, Dustin and Whitney felt strongly that small town life was right for them. So Dustin spent the last semester of law school working in the Malheur County District Attorney’s office. This gave him an opportunity to meet the local bar, judges, and the fantastic court staff.

Dustin successfully passed the Oregon Bar in 2014 and hit the ground running as an associate with Butler & Looney. When he is not at the office Dustin likes to spend time with his wife and their five children. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, and most outdoor activities.
